Directions & ParkingThe Kelly - Strayhorn Theater is located at the convergence of Penn Avenue (also known as Penn Mall) and South Highland Avenue in the center of East Liberty. The other nearby streets are Baum Boulevard's eastern terminus and Whitfield Street's western end. TransportationBus Service Port Authority 412.442.2000 (PAT website) Both the 71B and any 500 bus stop on Highland at Penn. Ave., less than half a block walking to the Kelly-Strayhorn. An average ride from the Oakland area to this stop is approximately 10-15 minutes. On weekends, the 71B buses are not in service, but the 500 buses run the same routes. Adult fare for one zone is $1.75 and a transfer is 50¢ extra. Children and Disabled fare for one zone is 85¢ and a transfer is 25¢ extra . Bus route (71B & 500) neighborhoods serviced: Downtown, Oakland, 5th Ave., Shadyside, Highland Ave., East Liberty, Bryant Ave., Highland Park, St. Clair, and One Wild Place (Zoo area). Buses run approximately every 20 minutes (both 71B and 500) during the weekday. The last two 71B buses (outbound from Pittsburgh) stop at Penn/Highland at 5:44pm and 6:24pm. 500 buses continue running every 20 minutes; after 9pm every 30-45 minutes.
